Good Quality Seeds

Physical characteristics of quality seeds can be studied as follows:
  1. The shape, size and color is uniform. Good seed is always the same shape. If a seedis supposed to be round, all round (no flat or oval). That's the good seed. Similarly, if theshape should be flat, then it must also be flat. Size and color should also be uniform.Nothing is bigger or smaller. Nothing strange color, if seed is yellow all have yellow, nowhite.
  2. Seed coat surface must be clean and shiny. Nothing dirty or wrinkled. Seeds wrinkledfruit plucked as a sign not old enough.
  3.  Water content is low enough and the seeds have experienced periods of rest, but stillhave not experienced for too long storage life until expiry.
  4. Not mixed with empty seed and the various impurities, such as land, the remainingskin, grass seed, and so forth.

In addition, the seeds must also be free of germs. It can be known from the parent plants. Parent of sick plants tend to produce seeds and seedlings carrying the disease.
